The first in a series of pictures where I really tried to convey emotion and movement. This one was to be pain.
This next picture of a girl abandoned and in tears really came out the way I was hoping it would. I like the fact that the drawing is simple but conveys so much.
Simplicity strikes again. I really like the candle in this picture, and one can just imagine circumstances for this situation.
This was the first of several pictures where the character was meant to be dancing. The motion implied in this one is okay, though the sheer skirt did not come out the way I had hoped.
This image was based off of a similar scene from Rayearth by CLAMP. I was REALLY irritated at a certain individual, and boy did he get it here.

This picture was okay, but seems a little stiff for the fact that the wind is blowing.

This is by far one of my favorite sketches ever. I blame most of the success on the fact that I did it on a bus in Germany, so I didn't have as much control over the lines.
This picture was copied from an image I found in an anime magazine, though I have no idea what it was from. I like the simplicity and the emotion conveyed.
Another sketch done the same night as the one above. This is also a character from an anime series, though I have no idea what.
Here was an attempt to incorporate the implication of magic with that of a dancer.
Another random character. This was an attempt on draped clothing that was moderately successful.
Another attempt at flowing robes. This one was meant to be a blind seeress in a story that, like so many other things, has never gotten off the ground.
